About David
As an Occupational Therapist with over 20 years experience I am passionate about providing support to adults with disabilities and health related conditions. My background includes working in the public and private sectors in the areas of community, rehabilitation, palliative care, transitional aged care and learning disabilities. I have a special interest working with people with neurological conditions such as Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy and Motor Neuron Disease.
My Services Include:
- Functional capacity living skills assessments and rehabilitation programs.
- Home modification assessment and recommendations. I have significant experience and knowledge with complex home modification design creating accessible home environments.
- Assistive technology / equipment assessment and recommendations such as wheelchairs and seating to help participants maximise their independence, safety and mobility.
- Collaborating closely with participants, families and support workers to assist in the development of interventions to help reach their recovery potential.
- NDIS, Home Care Packages and more.
The Personal Touch:
It is always my intention to provide you with a personalised and professional service. As the sole owner, operator and therapist of this practice you will deal with me directly from referral to completion. You will not be referred onto another OT service unless your needs are beyond my scope of practice. I take enormous pride knowing that all communication with my participants is transparent, empathetic, honest and backed by years of clinical experience and knowledge gained working in Australia and the UK.
